I am about 10% through The Clear Quran Made Easy: Story-Based Tafsir and I have been genuinely impressed with it. I had already been reading Dr. Mustafa Khattab’s The Clear Quran translation and loved how clear and natural the English was, so I decided to purchase this tafsir to better understand the meaning, context, and lessons behind the verses.
This book has been exactly what I was looking for. The explanations are easy to understand without feeling watered down. It gives enough background and context to make verses come alive, while avoiding the dense, academic language that can make some tafsir works difficult for an average reader to get through.
What I appreciate most is that I can actually sit down and read it from beginning to end like a normal book. I am learning things I would have completely missed by reading the English translation alone, and I constantly find myself stopping to reflect on verses in a way I did not before.
If you are someone who wants to understand the Quran more deeply but finds traditional tafsir books intimidating or difficult to read, I highly recommend this. It has made studying the Quran something I genuinely look forward to every day.
