Tas Heel Curriculum - Grade 7

The Tas-Heel Series is a renowned Islamic curriculum developed by the Jamiatul Ulama South Africa. Designed specifically for English-speaking students, this comprehensive 12-grade program makes learning Islam "easy" without sacrificing depth. By integrating essential knowledge—from theology and history to daily etiquette—the series provides a balanced foundation that grows with the child, ensuring they develop a strong Muslim identity rooted in authentic scholarship.

In Grade 7, the curriculum moves into the era of the Khulafa-e-Rashideen (The Rightly Guided Caliphs). As students (ages 12–13) begin to form their own independent worldviews, the series provides them with historical role models of leadership and justice.

Key Learning Modules for Grade 7:

• Aqaa’id (Beliefs): A deeper intellectual look at the Miracles of the Prophets and the preservation of the Holy Quran.

• Fiqh (Practice): Focuses on the Masbuq (one who joins the prayer late) and the various types of Sajdah (prostration), such as Sajdah Sahw (for forgetfulness).

• Akhlaaq (Manners): Discusses Self-Discipline, the importance of time management, and the Islamic perspective on peer pressure.

• Tareekh (History): A deep dive into the lives and achievements of Abu Bakr (RA) and Umar (RA), focusing on their contributions to the expansion and stability of the Muslim state.

• Du'as & Hadith: Focuses on Adhkar (remembrances) for morning and evening and Ahadith about the virtues of the Sahaba.
