Tas Heel Curriculum - Grade 3

The Tas-Heel Series is a renowned Islamic curriculum developed by the Jamiatul Ulama South Africa. Designed specifically for English-speaking students, this comprehensive 12-grade program makes learning Islam "easy" without sacrificing depth. By integrating essential knowledge—from theology and history to daily etiquette—the series provides a balanced foundation that grows with the child, ensuring they develop a strong Muslim identity rooted in authentic scholarship.

In Grade 3, the curriculum shifts toward developing a sense of personal responsibility and spiritual mindfulness. • Aqaa’id (Beliefs): Introduces a more detailed study of the Prophets (Al-Anbiya) and the concept of Risalah (Prophethood), emphasizing their role as role models for humanity.

• Fiqh (Practice): A deep dive into the specific rules of Salah (Prayer), including the Wajibaat (compulsory acts) and Sunnan (traditions), as well as an introduction to the congregational prayer (Jama’ah).

• Akhlaaq (Manners): Focuses on "Internal Character," teaching students about the importance of truthfulness (Sidq), patience (Sabr), and avoiding negative traits like lying or backbiting.

• Tareekh (History): Covers the pivotal events leading up to the Hijrah (Migration to Madinah). Students learn about the perseverance of the early Muslims and the turning points in Islamic history.

• Du'as & Hadith: Focuses on supplications for specific occasions, such as the Du'a for parents and seeking knowledge, alongside short Ahadith that emphasize kindness and good conduct.
