Tas Heel Curriculum - Grade 1

The Tas-Heel Series is a world-renowned Islamic curriculum developed by the Jamiatul Ulama South Africa. Designed specifically for English-speaking students, this comprehensive 12-grade program makes learning Islam "easy" without sacrificing depth. By integrating essential knowledge—from theology and history to daily etiquette—the series provides a balanced foundation that grows with the child, ensuring they develop a strong Muslim identity rooted in authentic scholarship.

Grade 1 marks the exciting beginning of a student’s formal Islamic journey. At this level, the curriculum focuses on nurturing a love for Allah and the Prophet ﷺ through gentle, age-appropriate storytelling and foundational practices.

Key Learning Modules for Grade 1:

• Aqaa’id (Beliefs): Introduces the concept of Tawhid (the Oneness of Allah) and our role as His creation.
• Fiqh (Practice): Simple, step-by-step guides to Wudhu (ablution) and the basic postures of Salah (prayer).
• Akhlaaq (Manners): Teaches the "Golden Rules" of Islam, such as being kind to parents, sharing with friends, and using "Islamic phrases" like Assalamu Alaikum.
• Tareekh (History): Beautifully illustrated stories of the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ early life and his noble character.
• Du'as & Hadith: Memorization of short, daily supplications and easy-to-understand sayings of the Prophet ﷺ that children can apply immediately.
